You’re not going to be able to walk into a showroom in Stanleytown, Danville, Rocky Mount, Greensboro, or anywhere else and drive away that day in a brand-new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette. That’s especially the case now that the long-awaited Z06 versions are finally here. The C8 is a remarkable success story for Chevrolet, and it’s hardly surprising when you look at this stunning sports car. With looks to die for, breathtaking performance, and a waiting list since before it went on sale, if you want to get yourself a new C8, you need to place a factory order with us, and fast!
Although the introduction of the all-new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 inevitably grabs all the headlines, most C8 Corvettes sold will still come from the other three trim levels you may be familiar with from last year. The most affordable 2023 Corvette, which doesn’t deserve the name “entry-level” or “base model,” is the 1LT. The next model in the 2023 lineup is the 2LT, and you guessed it, the third model in the lineup is the Corvette 3LT.
The big news is the arrival of a new range-topping version of the 2023 C8 Corvette in the shape of the much-anticipated new Z06. However, before you get started putting together a factory order for your new Corvette, you have to decide which body style is your preferred choice. The C8 is available in a coupe and convertible body styles, and the best thing about that is all versions of the 2023 Corvette are available in both boy styles, including the Z06.
Just as it sounds wrong to refer to the 1LT as an entry-level model, it’s hard to call the engine powering most versions of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette “standard” or “base” because it’s far too special for that. The powerplant in question is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 that develops 490 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque in its regular tuning, or 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. with the available performance exhaust system is added to your order. Naturally, the power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels, and it gets there through a quick-shifting and ultra-responsive eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that lets the driver choose their gear via steering wheel paddles.
For the full-fat, rip-roaring C8 Corvette driving experience, the Z06 delivers an astonishing 670 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque from an all-new, naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V-8. The 6.2-liter engine gets the C8 from 0 to 60mph in an incredible 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 194 mph. We can only imagine the numbers for the Z06, especially when equipped with the Z07 performance package.
Every 2023 Chevrolet Corvette has stunning exterior styling and a gorgeous interior, but you can have something extra special with the available 70th Anniversary Edition package this year. Instead of producing a standalone anniversary trim level to mark 70 years of Corvette production, Chevy has made the 70th Anniversary Edition package available for every version of the 2023 ‘Vette, including the Z06.
If you choose the available package, your 2023 Corvette will come in your choice of two exterior colors; an all-new White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic. Racing stripes in complementing colors of Satin Gray with the White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat and Satin Black with the Carbon Flash Metallic are also available but not compulsory. Additional 70th Anniversary Edition features include exterior badging, Edge Red brake calipers, 70th Anniversary Edition logos on seats, steering wheel and sill plates, a rear bumper protector and trunk cover, and custom luggage with red stitching and a 70th Anniversary Edition logo. 70th Anniversary Edition Stingray coupes will also include an Edge Red engine cover.
Any Corvette is an exceptional car, but with the arrival of the Z06 and the 70th Anniversary Edition package, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette takes exceptional to another level.
