This latest version of the iconic Chevrolet Camaro is certainly not a one-trick pony car. There are so many different trim level and powertrain options for buyers to choose from that the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro can be anything from an affordable and accessible pony/muscle car to a true sports car with simply blistering performance, or anything in between.
The 2021 Chevrolet Camaro is an absolutely stunning car whether it’s in two-door coupe or two-door sort-top convertible body styles, but it also has the power and performance at every trim level to match that awesome styling.
As cars face an ongoing fight for sales with high-riding SUVs of all shapes and sizes, some manufacturers have trimmed down their car model ranges to sometimes quite minimalist levels. The Camaro is no ordinary car though, and Chevy is looking to offer a Camaro to suit every single buyer who might be in the market for a car like this.
All but one of the eight available 2021 Camaro trim levels are available in both coupe and convertible body styles, and the only one that is coupe-only is the entry-level 1LS.
The range then starts with that 1LS coupe and then goes to the 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS and 2SS before the lineup is topped off by the awesome ZL1.
It would have been easy for Chevy to drop one or two of its tried and tested four-cylinder engines into the Trailblazer, but instead, the manufacturer has decided to put a couple of compact powerplants under the hood of the new model that are as modern and fresh as the exterior styling.
The first of the pair is a 1.2-liter turbo-three that develops 137 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque, and it’s the standard engine in the L, LS and LT trim levels of the 2021 Trailblazer. This engine is only available with front-wheel-drive, so if you want the added capability of all-wheel-drive you’ll have to go for the more powerful engine option.
That more powerful engine is another turbo-three, but this one is a 1.3-liter unit which then gives the Trailblazer 155 horsepower and 174 lb.-ft. of torque to play with. The 1.3-liter engine comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, but the standard transmission for the 1.2-liter engine is a CVT.
With the 1LS as the entry-level model in the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro lineup, you can now get into one of this legendary muscle car for a very modest amount of money, but you still get a lot of car for the very affordable starting price. The 1LS standard feature list includes 18-inch alloy wheels, body-colored mirrors, LED daytime running lights, climate control, tire pressure monitors, an eight-way power driver seat and an excellent infotainment system.
The infotainment system in the 1LS features a 7.0-inch color touchscreen display, Bluetooth audio streaming and phone connectivity, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Right at the opposite end of the trim level spectrum, the awesome ZL1 gets all the bells and whistles you can think of as well as that truly awesome 650 horsepower supercharged V-8 engine.
With so many different trim levels and powertrain options, there really must be a Camaro in the family somewhere to suit anyone looking for a two-door coupe or convertible.
With its stunning looks, exhilarating engines and performance, exciting color choices, and more than enough ways to tailor the car to suit your specific needs, the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro is a muscle car that appeals to an incredibly wide audience.
